The following is a list of 1997 changes to the various related web sites or information bulletins. Most recent changes are shown first:

After a bit of 'tinkering', we were able to implement the Web-wide navigation bar seen above.  This enhancement should help visitors unlock the various resources available at our Web site, particularly the Articles tab.  As an added note, the time has come to call to the attention of our readers a concern regarding the mid-term future.   Doctrinally, we strongly believe in the pre-tribulational, pre-millennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ.  However, this is no guarantee that believers will not experience persecution or trials and as several are aware, growing hostilities have necessitated that we maintain a level anonymity.  As the world approaches the year 2,000, a unique problem will potentially create severe hardship and may trigger the implementation of a global cashless monetary system.

As an ex-Catholic, I recently began writing a critique entitled The New Catholic Evangelization.  To start, I have reviewed the written testimony of the former evangelical Presbyterians Scott and Kimberly Hahn, who converted to Catholicism in 1986 and 1990, respectively.

Many undiscerning Christians have been mislead into the delusional realm of multi-level marketing -- MLM.  The article What's Wrong with Multi-Level Marketing? by Dean Van Druff and the recently published book, FALSE PROFITS, by Fitzpatrick & Reynolds are very helpful in explaining both the economic and moral errors of MLM.

The history of the Church is one of mostly heart-break. Born from above, the Bride has lived, for the most part, estranged from the Bridegroom (Colossians 2:19). Two doctrinal errors: Charismatic Arminianism and Covenant Calvinism have stood in the way -- obstructing this relationship of Love.  We have provided the details in Christianity in Contrast.   Evaluate the difference!

Given the common distrust and animosity shown Christians by Jews, evangelical Christians are typically enamored when they meet Jews who recognize Jesus as the Son of God and Israel's Messiah.   However, Messianic Judaism is not Biblical Christianity -- far from it.  See the linked article.

Many who send us emails are alarmed by the level of apostasy which is sweeping Christendom at this hour. While current trends are certainly within the bounds of 2 Timothy 4:3 which reads: "For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear," the groundwork for this phenomenon was laid decades ago. In fact, those who are acquainted with church history will see several links to the past.
In the 16th century, the Jesuits adopted a plan of "evangelism" to promote Catholicism "by magnifying any apparent similarity between themselves" and their potential converts and "by softening down the manifest points of difference." Their effectiveness was praised by the Pope. In England during the 17th century, the Latitudinarians adopted a similar method best summed up by their statement "Unite on essentials and agree to differ on non-essentials." The Neo-Evangelical movement began in the early 1950s, but its delirious effects are more and more being felt today. While written by Miles J. Stanford in 1977, Dr. Donald Grey Barnhouse and Neo-Evangelicalism remains a vital resource for understanding today's religious landscape.

During the last decade of the 20th century, a radical philosophy termed "Postmodernism" has risen to ascendancy in America. Like Modernism before it, we are regularly bombarded by these viewpoints through television, newspapers and magazines, academic and social interest groups, and even churches. How has Christendom contributed to the problem? Read our review of an outstanding book entitled THE DEATH OF TRUTH. This is must reading for every thinking Christian.

The Reformed crowd struggle to discredit dispensationalism. Recently, Michael Horton, of CURE fame, believes he has traced the soteriological roots of dispensationalism to none other but--Charles Finney! Read more at our Frequently Asked Questions page.

Due to the continued growth and influence of Promise Keepers and your email requests to share our opinion, we've published the linked article GENDER INVERSION.

A recent correspondent asks about the legacy of Dr. Lewis Sperry Chafer.  Find out how this leader, in part, impacted dispensationalism.

Occasionally, we receive an email rebuke regarding the "judgmental" spirit of our Web site. Our response is entitled SHOULD CHRISTIANS JUDGE?, and we hope it will help clarify what is and what is not appropriate for members of the Body of Christ--the Church. and we hope it will help clarify what is and what is not appropriate for members of the Body of Christ--the Church. and we hope it will help clarify what is and what is not appropriate for members of the Body of Christ--the Church.

Volumes 4 & 5 of the Hungry Heart Series are now available.

The complete text of the powerful 1972 book entitled THE LINE DRAWN is now available online. Not designed to persuade or free those who have already fallen prey to the cult-like realm of Pentecostal and charismatic error, this book's primary purpose is to warn and doctrinally strength those Christians who recognized that something is seriously amiss in these denominations and groups. Based on nearly thirty years of extensive reading, I consider this book to be the best ever penned on the subjects of the Baptism, Tongues, Healing, and Demonism, so-called.
3/22/97
Volumes 2 & 3 of the Hungry Heart Series are now available.

The initial version of the Hungry Heart Series--Volume 1 is now available. The fully functional site is currently only available in frames. We are working on a non-frames site; however, we are looking to modify all our non-frames site to include WebTV specifications--a substantial job. Nevertheless, we encourage you to visit Volume 1 in stand-alone mode and use the scroll bar to peruse the first 31 daily devotionals.

Several things are happening. First, we want to thank those who have written words of encouragement and who have shared how the Lord is using these sites in your journey of spiritual growth. It is our desire that YOU become established in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and that His love binds you to where He is--above!

We receive 4 to 6 emails weekly, and with having full-time jobs, that's just about perfect. We hear from Miles that his mail box contains 6+ (and growing) new correspondents daily--email from all corners of the globe. Shortly, we will begin to add to the list of Polemic Papers that are available, and Miles on-line testimony should become available in March. In coming months, we hope to make available the MJS -- None But the Hungry Heart series in a 365 day online devotional. A special thanks to Bob Nyberg with New Tribes Mission for inputing the text for that project--a big time saver for us!
