Dear Dan: I thank God for
the work you are doing on the MJS website. I have been a believer for a
little over 30 years. I was from a good home, but neither of my parents
knew the Lord. I came to the Lord when I was 18 years old. It was a great
time and I grew in the Lord and I saw Him do great things in my life and the
lives of others. So off I went to a Bible College. t was a very good
dispensational school...in many ways! However, looking back I understand
their foundation was built not on living in Christ, but knowing many
facts about Christ! Yes, they had some fine teachers there and they did
know the Word of God, and they worked real hard to live a Christian life that
was pleasing to God. But you know how far that gets a person. My point is the
websites you provide were greatly used by the Lord to fill in a missing part my
in life. Indeed, they taught me how to experience life--His life.
Through the teachings found on these sites, I have come to understand what it
means to live by faith!!! I always understood and had faith in the Lord
for my salvation and had much joy in that, but the joys of living in Christ
and Christ living in me, have changed me! What I thought was life
was me trying to live my life to glorify God. How it pales compared to
Christ Himself living His life in me! I am actually
shocked to see how this truth has been overlooked by the body of Christ, and it
is clear to me, that Jesus living in us by faith is the answer to every problem
the body of Christ has. I am a farmer and
a cycling coach that lives in the middle of no where. One of my sons is a
current Pro National Champion at his event, but God has also called me into a
teaching ministry. This ministry has been changed by the teachings
of Christ living in me through faith! One "funny" thing I have seen so
far... since I have started sharing these teachings with some pastors and one
man that at one time was the head of Youth for Christ: nearly without exception
they warn me that I need to be careful with these kind of teachings!!! Of
course they give no Scriptures to provide such a warning, but still they are
afraid of it. At this point I am having a good time educating them with the facts, and showing them how many of their heroes of the faith actually lived by such teachings. So far I am not experiencing any real resistance with these dear brothers, but I know for a fact they don't understand the real truth of being in Christ and walking in Him by faith. But I know Christ can handle the situation with these dear brothers and I have confidence that they will soon get tired of beating themselves up trying to live a Christian life and that they will at that time understand the Scriptures I have shared with them and more important they will understand the life they see Christ living in me.
Knowing the
scriptures have been a great help to me, but they are meaningless without
applying them by faith and experiencing the union with Christ and His
life flowing through me. That is something I would have never been able to
imagine. Other believers, are quickly understanding what it means to be in
Christ and God is doing great things in them. It is exciting to see what
God is doing and I can hardly wait to see the impact it will have in our area! If there are any
good books or websites on this topic please let me know! It would be most
helpful if it was from a free source, but either would be helpful. Your brother in Christ,
