EARL PEARLY PAULK, JR., (1927- ) Former Senior Pastor, now "Bishop" of Chapel Hill Harvester Church in Decatur, GA and presiding Bishop of the International Communion of Charismatic Churches (ICCC).
Earl Paulk's background is deeply rooted in the erroneous doctrine of free will. Son of Earl Paulk Sr., who was the former assistant general overseer of the Pentecostal Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee) and grandson of Elisha Paulk, who was a preacher in the Freewill Baptist denomination, Paulk carries on the core heretical, humanist tradition.
Bruce Barron, in his comprehensive book, HEAVEN ON EARTH?, The Social & Political Agendas of Dominion Theology wrote: Paulk stresses the degree to which God, in granting humans free will, has made them personally sovereign over and responsible for their own sphere of influence. He even has described humans as "created with the potential for God-likeness," as "little gods."
Earl Paulk strongly promotes a major variant of KINGDOM NOW theology and has created a "proto-denomination" called the Network of Kingdom Churches. His emphasis includes a strong ecumenicalism, as the ICCC is affiliated with the World Council of Churches.
"Paulk charged with sexual misconduct..." Here again is the tragic trail of charismatic wreckage. Their heretical doctrine and pseudo-sanctification allows the flesh to run rampant. Like Benny Hinn and the Bakkers, charismatics are the masters of hypocrisy.
In November 2007, more sordid truth emerged. Earl Paulk, who's past contains allegations of sexual misconduct, was discovered to be the biological father of the church's current senior pastor D.E. Paulk. D. E. Paulk is no less the son of Earl Paulk's sister-in-law.
