The author instructs and guides the entire denomination, via official literature in the realm of spiritual growth.  This book is written for Southern Baptists--some 16 million--among whom it seems to be all the rage.

The problem is that although it is written to Christians for growth and service, it is not a Christian book; rather, it is primarily a JEWISH book.  Nine-tenths of the Scripture and scriptural examples are taken from the Old Testament and the Synoptic Gospels, and applied to the Christian.
